Springbok Construction

Troop: Durbanville/Kraaifontein Sea Scouts

Goals:

1. My goal first is to safely complete a Brynbach tower. The tower was completed successfully and no-one was injured. We did, however drop the tripod on our first attempt to open, lock the legs

2. Team building. Everyone had a job and I think that the team got along well. After the construction was completed scouts were more than happy to play together.

3. Meet my action plan. We were, in fact, slightly ahead schedule the entire day and finished early

4. Construct the tower in such a way that it is free standing, stable, secure and has a level platform. The structure was free standing and secure. However the platform was a bit skew and the tower was bit top heavy. (We should have opened the legs more.)

5. Fulfill the requirement for my Springbok. Although I have yet to get feedback I believe I passed.
