This year Kon-Tiki was a great success. We enlarged our raft superstructure which meant we were not so crammed and actually had a good amount of space for cooking, eating, sleeping and doing STA's.
We came 13th overall which means that out of all the troops in our district we placed the highest!
Our costumes were great and keep getting better(thanks to Melanie, Andrew's mom and Andrew)!

This year we also managed to complete our base(boards, barrels and poles) on the Friday night of Kon-Tiki. We also built the four walls of our superstructure which meant that the raft team could sleep on the raft.(Some of us did.)

Our fringe team also placed first for the fringe team STA. (Thanks Spencer!)
Our raft boards were good too(An obvious stance as I painted them).

Parent involvement was also remarkable this year as every parent helped to prepare a meal and all the parents came to the scout hall to help clean up!

Kon-Tiki 2017 was a reminder of how awesome Kon-Tiki is for everyone so I will definitely be back next year, albeit as a scouter.
