The annual food evening-a favorite of mine-saw a quite a turnout this year! That being said an unbelievable amount of those present were cubs-five sixes in fact! (You go Akela, Hathi, Baloo and Kaa!)

This year the seal patrol chose to go as Spain. Our dish was a hot spicy bole of Chicken Peri Peri. Pictured above, our stall got second place overall for general aesthetic. Although it isn't so clear in the photo, the doll(made 100% by hand) is a man in full traditional Spanish dress, the flag is hand painted and the chicken is "The Rooster of Barcelos".(A famous Portuguese symbol for good faith, it is also used by Nandos as their logo.)

The other patrols and sixes chose the following dishes:

Albatroses(Mexico)-mince and baked beans.

Kingfishers(Italy)- pizza

Scotland-flapjacks

Switzerland-strawberry,marshmallow and chocolate fondue.

Sooth Africa-Curry buns and mince.
